Bacchanalia Atlanta – If you feel the way we do, every city is only as good as its cuisine. Whether that cuisine is the street food of the local color or fine dining as entertainment, food is the true metric of a city’s greatness. Want to get a sense for just how good the food can get in Atlanta? We suggest Bacchanalia , a fine dining mecca serving up contemporary American cuisine as prepared by chefs Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison. Bacchanalia’s focus is a four-course prix fixe menu that starts with an appetizer, peaks with the entree course, cleanses with a cheese plate and ends with dessert. Our friend Pedro (of Foodie Atlanta fame) visited Bacchanalia and tried the four course prix fixe, allowing the chef to choose the courses and deciding his fate. The photos below tell his story, which was centered around the Glazed Veal Sweetbreads, Pearled Barley, Braised Escarole and Blood Orange Gastrique shown quite deliciously below:
